Title: Kiibohd 6 - Bay Area Monthly Keyboard Meetup

Yep, it's that time of the month again.

Trying to get in contact with WASD to have the next meetup at their place (no luck yet, but if someone has contacts...).
Otherwise, it will be at:

It's at WASD ;D, please indicate if you strongly disagree with April 26th as the meetup date. May 3rd is still possible, just more annoying for WASD.

I'll bring the Memotech MTX 512 I've been promising this time (the model used in the Weird Science movie).

The case is aluminum and the keyboard sucks.

Also, if anyone else has a TechShop membership. Let me know.
TechShop reduced the length of the Conference room bookings by a single person to 2 hours.

Worst case, we just head to restaurants/bars afterwards.

I can talk to WASD when I go pick up some stuff. Axiom is my team but I'm having a really hard time deciding which player's board to get. I also want to grab a barebones v2 or two for folks at work to try. I can bring some recent Alps gets if anyone is interested. KingSaver, Northgate Omnikey, and a Zenith with complicated linear green Alps.

there's a pretty good chance that i'll be in the bay most of june. either ron or i could talk to WASD. i don't know how amenable their offices are to presentations though. iirc they're just down the road from ron's and he said the space was mostly dominated by fulfillment.

ron's still in mtn view. i thought wasd was in santa clara/sunnyvale. maybe he moved? the last time i attempted to keep track of these things was a couple years ago XD

Soooooo, Andrew got a hold of WASD (was it Raymond?...probably). Turns out is Weyman  :-[

And they are a go :D

WASD has a request though, they'd prefer it being the previous weekend (April 26th) rather than May 3rd. But they can still do May 3rd.

Unless there are a bunch of strong no's for April 26th, that's the new meetup date.

Haha, its Weyman, not Raymond. I mean, that's a pretty solid guess though. He also said that he has a grill, so hypothetically we could bring meat and grill things.

Hey guys,

Not gonna be able to bring the grill out this time around. We just got a large shipment and I don't have a lot of free space right now. We'll still have the front office area mostly open for the meetup. Maybe order some pizzas instead or something.

Today was super fun and excellent. Shoutout to HaaTa and keyboardio for filling two tables with keyboards effortlessly and WASD (which we learned is called double you ay ess dee and not wahsd) for hosting. Personal shout out to DamienG for driving me home. <3

The heart wasn't there, or if it was it wasn't brought out. The two butterflies felt real good though. Better like whoa than my ergodox. Sorry / queue tp4issue.

I only took two pictures. This one of the totally saturated  table (http://i.imgur.com/3fHyUhz.jpg) and one of the data hand that was so blurry it doesn't even bear posting. Later, probably post finals, I'll post pictures and a review of the special edition Axiom Heart WASD v2 I picked up while I was there.

Thanks all, it was fun as usual :D

DataHand was interesting. Though after trying it, I got lots of ideas on how to improve it :P.

In the next week or so, I'll have a thread for the next meetup. keyboard.io is hosting us this time at their incubator space in SF :D

I had bent the metal inside when I tried to put the top back on upside down, once I unbent that and reassembled it was as crappy as ever.

Ah, it's removed because it's broken :P

I've attempted to fix it, but it's tricky (as it's been repaired before).
