Shipping is $$$, at least to where I live.
-
It will be interesting to see what the final price will be.
-
it will be mine. o yes it will be mine.
-
it will be mine. o yes it will be mine.
lol, now that made me laugh.: )
-
i'll be patient and save my money for (1) split hhkb pro 2 (2) unicomp to manufacture m15 with lighter buckling springs (3) most likely outcome - someone to produce my wanted keyboard. in the meanwhile i can handle standard layout just fine.
-
If I could get my house sold, I might lay out for one of these at some point. Then again, at around $400 an auction, that might just be stupid, anyway.
-
Too bad about the non-functioning scroll lock indicator and missing ancilllary parts. Maybe a call to Unicomp can fix these things?
It'll be interesting to see what it goes for.
Cheers,
~rn.

"Item location: God's country"
I have a feeling I would have to pass a bible test or renounce something in order to get it, so I think I will pass.
-
I personally don't like ergo boards, but I'm interested in seeing what this goes for as well.
-
The price for shipping to Romania is just 257$. :)
I asked him if it can be lowered ... he'll get back to me ...
-
That's funny — shipping to me is $8 bucks. Maybe you should have someone here buy it and ship it to you for $25-$40.
-
if god owns this m15, does that mean someone died for it? lol
a mere 2 days after i wished for this. mind games, god. mind games.
-
You might want to wait for the next one, wheel83.
-
Two M15's eh? Care to elaborate for the M15 wannabees here? I'll trade ya for this amazing Fujitsu Peerless keyboard I have here!
LOL! He... errr... you would be on the losing end of that deal. ;)
-
Man, this thing's already $210+, and there are six days left in the auction.
-
desktopjinx:
i challenge you to a duel! (whips out ebay bidding glove)
i occasionally trade options and this is the options one. let me win this one. you have 2 already!
-
Ah he's another contender! That reminds me of that other guy on wheel83's hitlist, the one with the three M15s. Surely there is some rule against people with three M15s :D
That's just hoarding. There was someone in the Keyboard Pics thread that had something like 4-6 of them. It was nuts. They need to give some to charity, like the United Italian Typists Fund.
-
ya that guy has all three versions. no fair!
-
I'm going with KRAPS: Keyboard Restoration And Preservation Society.
-
wheel83 -- I've had them since they were new, and they're wearing out. I really do hope you get your hands on one.
webwit -- I have an older Fujitsu clicky keyboard, without the Windows keys. It's a nice light touch, but not as precise as an IBM M. As for a trade... try to touch my M15 and you'll draw back a bloody stump.

I really should have kept my boxes.
*looks down*
I really should clean my keyboard. No way I'm posting a high-res picture of this mess. How does everyone keep their keys so clean?
$305 this morning, over five days to go...

I don't eat Cheetos when I am typing.

I don't eat Cheetos when I am typing.
I don't eat, period, when I am typing. I also wash my hands when I am done and about to type.
-
Wow, $590. Amazing.
-huha
-
I think it would have gone for more had the clock not run out on the (literally) last-minute bidder(s). $425 to $590 in the last 11 seconds.
-
The snipers never had a chance.
What a shame that $590 is going to such a bad typist.
Bad typist probably means less wear and tear on the keyboard :) That's what I'm hoping for, anyway. I am anxious to see how it compares to my daily-driver pair.
Soon I'll be willing to risk sending one off for a refurbishment...
-
so you won it ??
congrats. i flipped a coin to see if i would bid. tails i didnt. haha
-
Yeah, wheel83. I hope the next one comes along soon so you don't have to wait long.
I haven't updated my sig yet -- not until I actually have the keyboard.
-
Another one:

-
+1 to the department of silly keyboards
-
I might have a shot at this one.
We're pulling for you.
-
grats?
-
I know how that movie ends.
Yes, it's a real tear jerker.
Arnie approves.
-
So what do you do now that you've spent so much money for the custom Datahands setup and now the M15? Is the M15 your work keyboard?
-
I sniped.
4 seconds to the end, not bad. There must have been somebody who thought he won it... not.

I hate you people.
And hence why I use "Buy it Now"
-
Congrats.
The last one was missing two rubber feet, so the logo isn't the only difference.
I must admit, this one tempted me -- after all, it was a chance to have one of each logo, and I could have turned the imperfect one around. But I've spent the last two months trying to undo muscle and tendon injuries -- the right keyboard isn't everything -- and refining my keyboard collection seemed like kicking myself in the balls. I'm still not sure I'll ever be back to typing full-time.
Actually, I'd much rather kick myself in the balls than be unable to type. Speech recognition is like dictating to a seven-year-old who's had too much Cap'n Crunch.
Anyway, nice score, happy to see it go to someone here.
And BTW, this group is much cooler than the speech recognition & microphone geeks I've found out there.

I have an Evoluent wireless on order for work (they were kind of pushing me to order something, I think to prove they're trying to do something about my condition). From my test drive it feels awfully big. I learned that I have quite large hands, and it just fits me, but it "drives" big, like you'd need to turn down the speed and use a lot of desk space to be precise, the mouse equivalent of a 1970s heavy duty truck gearshift.
The mouse I've been using since the pain got bad is the Microsoft Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000. It's the only retail mouse I found that doesn't pronate your hand much. (I was actually surprised and disappointed that there weren't more alternatives; have ergonomists just given up on the whole pronation thing?) Last week I went back to my old office where I'd dumped my previous Microsoft wireless mouse, which I used to love, and it felt SO uncomfortable -- the MS Natural 6000 has corrupted my sense of normal.
Anyway, if the Evoluent doesn't work for you, think about trying the MS Natural 6000. Like a good automotive gearshift knob, it feels more comfortable than it looks.

We're no match for the people who buy $10,000 watermelons.
-
THE PRECIOUS! MINE! MINE-MINE-MINE-MINE-MINE!
So now you own *two* keyboards which cost nearly one thousand bucks each. Respect, you're a serious keyboard nut :)
EDIT: IIRC you got the Touchstream for cheap. Otherwise that would be three.
-
ripster and webwit.
i respect both of your ingenuity greatly. haha ... class a people
ripster are those sanwa buttons ? and what do they do?
-
Please explain why the M15 costs you nothing? And you're right, these boards make a very good capital investment. I'd bought them too if I'd the money.
