Hey guy, I've come here after seeing all the mechanical porn over at Bit-Tech, and will be getting my first board soon!

So many nice things here!

I'm thinking of getting a Filco Majestouch-2, Tenkeyless or maybe something similar but with LED lights. Im in the UK but would prefer the US layout as there seems to be allot more custom cap sets available for them.

Any advice is much appreciated and thanks for the welcome.

Filco is a nice choice, what kind of switches are you thinking about?

Filco's are nice. If you want to go even smaller, you could try a Poker II or something else similar.
