Back in the day, I did some super silly keycap tests. But eventually I learned from these and help me to make better and better keycaps.
Some were pretty dorky! (Notice the first two pics were keycaps salvaged from my an old apple rubber dome. I owned 1 mech back then and I was NOT going to practice on my only mech. /sigh when was the time when you owned just one? This obsession... Anyway I digress..

haha! yeah. so hilarious. now that I look back on it, it's pretty horrible. I've seen some really bad "steampunk" mods on Etsy and I guess my buttom mods would fit right in there. :)

wow, it's really amazing to see how far practice takes you. those first keycaps are hilariously terrible, but the typewriters are some of the best keyboard mods i've ever seen. Good job dude, thanks for all the info!
