Title: How to check if a Cherry switch is bad?
Post by: boxfulofsanity on Sat, 19 April 2014, 09:42:19
I'm having some issues with my Ergodox setup (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=57182.0), and I was wondering -- how can I check if a Cherry switch connection is good? Can I use a multimeter? What setting would I use on a multimeter?
Thanks!

Put your multimeter to the continuity symbol. Then run a continuity test to make sure your soldering job was done properly and that the switch is functioning. Check out this link from Lady Ada (http://www.ladyada.net/library/metertut/continuity.html) for more info.

Welp, forgot my basic electronics here!
Since they are SWITCHES, I need to press them when doing a continuity check!!!  :))
