Title: LED Colour Changers
Post by: iisshaun on Wed, 23 April 2014, 06:56:18
Hey so Massdrop is running these at the moment https://www.massdrop.com/buy/led-color-changer and I just bought some white LEDs to replace my blue ones. Before I do any soldering etc. have any of you used these before? Particularly the white ones? I'm just not sure how you can change blue to white with these. Are there any traces of colour with them?

If these work like they say then I'll probably get a couple packs of white and some red.

From what I've seen if your using white leds they change the colour quite well but will be a bit dimmer because of of the extra layer of plastic.

Using white covers on blue leds will not change your blue leds white... switch your blues to whites and then go nuts with the pack from massdrop

Ah, right. I didn't see how they could've work, I guess the white ones are just there to dim down your white LEDs so they're the same brightness as the coloured ones.
