Title: Good mice for claw gripping?

Basically the title. Although i'd like to avoid razer mice as i've already got 2 of them(deathadder and abyssus).

Cooler Master Storm Spawn.   I has a fantastic sensor in it (one of the few "flawless" ones on ESR), is dirt cheap, and, oddly, is comfortable for just about every grip out there.

it's fantastic, and works fairly well for claw grip for me. I don't claw grip but I have tried it with the EC2 eVo. can't say if it's ideal but I have a bit larger hands som claw gripping it wasn't a problem for me at least.

As a claw grip user I would recommend the mico if you have small to medium sized hands. I don't know anything about sensors and stuff but the shape of the mouse is good kinda similar to abyssus.

yes to both, yes both work with claw grip. just depends on how clawy you want to be and how large your hands are. :P

Oooooohhhhh the fk feels good, major upgrade over the abyssus. My only quirk with it is the coating, not really sweat friendly.

I have used the cm spawn for about 2 years. Its works well and is cheap but its very short, so my wrist is always sitting on the mouse pad. This can get uncomfortable after a while. I have been using a zowie fk for the last week. It's very comfortable. The only issue is the mouse wheel is a bit stiff. And it's about twice the price of the cm spawn. My fk is not the new 2014 version with the black base which has a new wheel design. But apparently the 2014 version has an issue with coating peeling.

Depends on what you consider stiff. For me, most wheels other than the one on xornet/spawn or old MS mice feel too stiff; it's more tolerable only when it's very wide and rubbery. My middle finger is somewhat malformed though.

I have about 15 mice in a tub.
The two i always fall back on are the spawn xornet and http://www.gx-gaming.com/?action=products_detail&wtype=feature&id=16 (http://www.gx-gaming.com/?action=products_detail&wtype=feature&id=16)

I LOVE the GX's finger buttons. My one gripe with the naga was that activating the side buttons would always make me move the mouse, not so with the GX.

i have been doing some window shopping for a new claw grip mouse to replace my Rat 7, thank you for putting this mouse on my radar. I'm really feeling the design and i have an inkling my RAT is going to die on me very soon (dat laser eye getting stuck) I noticed you are replacing your g9x is that due to unhappiness with the mouse or simply looking for something new? The g9x was going to be my next pick up.

I meant that if my index and middle finger don't reach somewhere near the edge of the LMB and RMB, I find the mouse to be too large

But that's just me :P

I was very happy with my G9x, but I've been looking for Logitech to come out with a G9x successor ever since I learned they discounted the G9x and wanted to try something new. I've been reading reviews and comments from people who got the G502 and it has gotten generally very good reviews and many people find it useable for a claw grip or mixed claw/palm grip so I figured I'd give it a try.

You won't be disappointed at all with this model.  Still love using it in almost any way possible on my mouse matt.  It's quite versatile in the way you can hold this model that is quite different with previous G500 range.

Plus it's sensor is way good compared to anything ever released by Avago Corp  :thumb: .

Ah I see. My fingers don't reach anywhere near the edge of the LMB or RMB but its k. I'm really liking the way it feels in my hand and I'm glad the hump of the palm area isn't ridiculously high. I tried a Corsair M65 a while back and the palm hump was way too obtrusive for me.

I know you said that you wanted to avoid Razer mice since you had 2 of them.
However if you would consider looking at one. I would suggest the Razer Orochi.
It's Razer's laptop sized mouse quite a bit smaller than any of there full size mice.
It's about the same size as the Logitech VX Nano. I've owned both. I don't have big
hands by any means. Medium size I would guess. I used them both with a claw type grip.

Good choice! I wish they made the orange in Optical.
