Does the KMAC plate work exclusively with the kmac case? Will other plates work?
(think adding a switch moddable plate)

for the early KMAC and KMAC LE the plate is specific. For the KMAC 2 you can in theory use a new plate, as it allows PCB mounting for no plate, but you'll likely only be able to screw it down in a few points.

You can mod the plate pretty easily to support switch top removal as it's just aluminium.
