Title: ANSI stepped enter key?
Post by: user 18 on Sat, 03 May 2014, 12:06:17
Lots of people like stepped caps locks because (I assume) they don't want to hit it instead of the 'A'. I have a similar problem with hitting enter instead of ''' (yes I know that looks weird).

Does a stepped enter key exist, or is it not as good an idea as it sounds to me right now?

I've definitely never seen one of those on any keyboard.

I've seen some extremely old boards that way-- I think there are some PDFs of a early 80s Cherry catalog floating around with boards that way.

Something like that would work, although I was hoping for something just stepped on the left.

ANSI enter is 2.25x iirc, so something with just a 0.5x step on the left side and a 1.75x key would be what I'm looking for. If it doesn't exist that's fine, I need to learn to type properly anyway.
