Title: Found this interesting looking aluminum case...

I can't help but notice that it looks like a hammer case with zig zags added to the sides. :)) I can see how the cut-outs would help with gripping the sides though.

What are your first thoughts?

I'm suspicious of the material of this case, even though the seller claimed it's made in 7075 aluminum

Because we all have so many issues picking up our keyboards...   :p

I kid, I kid.  It's a really unique design, that's for sure.  I wonder what it is / where it's from?  Looks pretty cool.

Apparently, only 66 of these cases will be made as well. Each case will also have a serial #.

FYI
This is a 60% case made by a  team in china
they didnt tell about the title of their team, but the one opening post is called "Uncle"

they also produces aluminium palm rests too
and their product should be all made of 7075 aluminium

Zeal has talked about its similarity to hammer's case,
and yes they were challenged severely by the community. (originally no zig-zag)
But seems that they have modified their design now :)

Seems like 95% of aluminum cases are made for 60% boards..

If I ever do pick up a 60% board that will probably be one of the main factors lol

i think one of the reasons is that
60% cases are easier to be taken care of

a longer 100% aluminium case like faces problems like bending or curved.
The cost of CNC should also be much higher

60% ones can be manufactured easier

plus 60% boards have identical measurements (base on original Pokers' I believe) so making a custom case for them is also much easier than for 80% or 100% keyboards

The GB price was also roughly $115 USD including shipping to China.

Yeah, that and they cost less to make and correct me if I'm wrong but sell for the same price I believe.

I don't think I would use it myself, it's not really my style, but it is a nice design nonetheless.

Don't really know much about aluminum cases.  Is 7075 supposed to be the best?

7075 is harder than 6061

Kinda a gimmick don't see why you need 7075 for a keyboard case.

LIES! Ever seen the movie wanted? If you needed to smack someone in the face with the keyboard, every bit helps!

I don't like the cutouts on the side and I don't like cases that are so high. I want my keyboards sleek and preferably without any tilt.
The beauty of the Poker design is that it is a single, flat PCB - so that the case can be flat. Don't ruin it!

What are your first thoughts?

That there needs to be a group buy, but at the same time, there really shouldn't be to not tempt me.
