Hi All,
(http://gaming.coolermaster.com/images/products/65/image_646.jpg)
Anyone here have this "MECHA"??
any pros or cons?
-
Not good, imo. The only thing "aluminum" about it is a really thin aluminum front faceplate that you screw on with those front screw holes. The body itself and underside are plastic. It also has an incredibly bulky footprint, and is a bit impractical imo. If you want metal, get a filco with alu case or kustom.

You could use this as a weapon in lieu of a blunt object.

It used way to much unnessesary space. And I find the handle to be pretty meaningless. A cm qf xt in metall would be preferred (dosent exist). As previously said it is really just a thin layer of metal on the top. I did like the typing experience though.

Cons: Huge.

Definitely it looks like a weapon from a Klingon's locker. Seriously though the fonts that CM seems to like resemble's Razer junk style and that is totally horrible. Why copy razer for type face keys that make me so wretchedly sick (reaching for the sick bag now)?
Should instead spend the money and design decent keys with a type font that is classic and stylish without making it another Razer wannabe.
If you have money avoid this keyboard and buy a Ducky, Filco or Realforce (there I mentioned a Thorpie). They will last far longer and look brilliant for years to come.

+1 Very poor and unaesthetic attempt to mimic the highly effective IBM M club.

Thorpie - Isn't this a measure of disorder?

Thing is, these keyboards don't get alot of likes here on GH. Maybe they appeal to gamers and are meant to compete with the gaming boards of razer. But once you've seen the boards here that people own, you'll know what I'm talking about

Is this an instrument? If so mayonnaise is an instrument
