FOLKS!

It has come to Badwrench's, Nubbinator's, and countless other's attention that there are a freaking lot of geekhackers in the greater SoCal area. Because I am one of this cohort, and because I am moving in a couple months to NorCal, I'd like to organize a meetup somewhere in Orange County (reasoning: about halfway between Ventura and San Diego). Those who live in the OC will probably pick the exact place to meetup (Nubbins knows all dem good places), but, darnit, everyone who can should join us.

People are expected and invited to carpool whenever possible (ex: coming from Pasadena? pick up people on the way down!). Date TBD, but either this month or early next month.

Hopefully, we can find a place with large enough tables for whatever people want to bring, but if you just bring yourself, that's OK too.

Expect to eat, drink and be merry.

anyone from SD wanna carpool? I know for sure beca is down here plus some other people

Sounds potentially not awful fun.  I don't think I'm in a very carpool conducive location but I'll try to not be a super grouch if people are REALLY close and need a lift.

Orange county huh nice. I will try to cruise by if I'm not too busy. Don't have anything cool to bring. Been doing this for a few years and still have not been able to try torpes. Someone bring some!!!

Let me know if you're under 21 so I can start looking for someplace that's kid friendly.  I think there are still a few McDonalds with ball pits around and Chuck-E-Cheese is always happy to have groups...or we could just hit up Boomers and play miniature golf.  Sadly, Bullwinkles is no more.

Kidding aside, I look forward to it and it should be fun.  I'm still getting re-integrated into Orange County, so don't expect me to know all the cool places, just some with good beer.

Well, since I blew it and made another thread for the same thing, I will continue on with this one.


Only weekends that I am not free are June 7/8, and June 29th.  Other than that, I work evenings Monday through Friday, so if a weekday dinner meetup is happening, I won't be able to attend.

If a location hasn't been determined yet, I would like to offer my place as a possibility for a meet up. I live in North Orange County, plenty of room for tables, plenty of parking, we could have food delivered or barbecue. My place or wherever, I'm looking forward to it.
