he got owned by a cat.
now mind you, this cat is awesome
also as a former dog owner, they should def put down this dog, not only are the owners irresponsible, they're obviously bad owners from the 5seconds you see this dog react.
i can tell that this dog was hunting, if you've owned a dog, you can tell right away too. he heard the kid, he had that 1/2 second pause with that front paw up. that is an attack pose. of course ppl who have never owned a dog, or have owned those ****ty 10lb dogs, wouldn't know this, but if you have/had a real dog you'd know right away, this dog was found prey and was gonna take it down.
my dog would give the same exact pose every time he saw a rabbit when i walked him back in pa, he had that "i'mma gonna kill you" pose.
but again this dog is so pathetic he got owned by a cat!

Seen this the other day. Annoyed me that the woman picked her kid up and then put him back on the ground. The dog could've easily ran back up. I'd of chucked him on the 4x4 or something.

People who have dogs like this should be put into prison and banned from ever owning another animal ever and also be sterlised.

You do know that stray dogs are a thing, right?

Yeah I know and I don't know if that dog was a stray or not, but I stand by what I said.

First time seeing this video and its got me thinking...

Pretty awesome cat, my parents cat will literally grab the door frames if you try to take her out.
-
My sister showed me this yesterday.
My first thought was: that cat deserves an honorary "good dog" award.
I want this cat on my fantasy-dog team. I want all cats trained to do this.
That cat is a better dog than that dog is!
This video gave me paws to consider that some cats are actually good and respectable.
Did you guys see that move the cat used? That was awesome. It was like, some kind of "flying-all-claws" move. He maximized his velocity, propelled himself toward the target with maximum inertia, and put all of his weight into a four-claw attack, which was enough to disrupt the dog's intended actions. He then POSTURED HIMSELF (herself?), as if to say "that's just ONE of the moves i can use to shred you to pieces. Would you like to play a game?"
Best Cat Ever.

This is why you should own a
gun cat.

FUK CATS!!
that kid was probably a disease vector and the dog was selflessly trying to drag him into a tar pit or clam chowder pit.

According to the news it was their neighbors dog.

I'd say that the cat's behaviour was territorial. It viewed the dog as another cat.

Dog belongs to the neighbor. And I completely agree with your suggested course of action.

Found out its a lab /chow, makes sense chows are super prey driven and one of the top 3 banned breeds by home associations and insurance along with rotts and pitbulls, i know cuz mine was a GSD/chow. Still he never saw kids as prey.

Agree with you that dog owners should be held fully responsible for their pets' actions.
These are horrific injuries on the kid - and the dog only harried him for what, two seconds?
If the kid was alone and there was no cat or parent to help, the kid could have been severely crippled or even killed.
Regrettably, in most countries protection for pets are too high. Owners of attack dogs have gotten away with minor fines after their dogs killed children. As someone with kids and in a country where a significant number of pet owners don't train their pets properly (eg many dog owners in Singapore walk their pets unleashed), I am extremely intolerant of this. I personally think the owner of this particular dog should be on trial as an accessory to assault and battery/ conspirator in a child abuse case.
If dog owners are not jailed and fined heavily for their pets attacking people, they'll perpetually shake it off as 'pets will be pets'.

Same case, but human harming dog instead.
All in all, the fault is on the owner, and not the pet. Both case happened when the owner let their dog out/untrained.
