I just recently started watching this since it's on Netflix and I love Anthony Bourdain (way more interesting and less annoying that Alton Brown, though equally pretentious in a different way). So far I'm loving the show, but I absolutely want to murder the editor. No Reservations always had interesting camera shots, his moments of introspection and his travles (basically identical to the new show), but it's like it's edited by a film student who just discovered special effects. It's just rife with slow motion and some new gimmick every episode, like tilt shift, and it's driving me crazy. Please tell me it gets better.

Have you seen the early seasons of No Reservations? They are the best of Bourdain, before all his trips were cushy 4 star cum guzzles. Back then he was such a malcontent, it was so great. Once he made the transition over to the Travel channel I suppose he put a clause in his contract that they wouldn't make him do **** he really doesn't want to do :P

i've watched a lot of no reservations when it was on late (and i had cable years ago) that show sucked, i watched a few parts unknown, that sucks too, i've watched him on the taste also, and he sucks there as well.
alton brown is best in his former good eats show, he teaches great, he has great recipes, and he was the ONLY thing that was even tolerable in american iron chef, i was more impressed by alton talking than the pathetic **** the iron chefs or challengers were putting up.
everything else alton brown does, really sucks tho, he did ****ty shows like feasting on asphalt and cutthroat kitchen.
heck the last "physical" cookbook i bought was alton browns gear book, all about kitchen ****, actually a friend "borrowed" it, i don't even know where it is since i threw out every single cookbook/recipes since i move.

No idea who Alton Brown is but I know Anthony Bourdain and have watched all his shows. Really love what he does but there's an even better show by a guy named Baron Ambrosia called Underbelly NYC that I enjoyed a lot more many years ago. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baron_Ambrosia A lot more street than Bourdain.

I loved Anthony Bourdain's book, which I read before he was on TV. I dislike his shows because they are about him, not food, and he is not a pleasant person.
Alton Brown is great, although totally goofy, in a good way, because he really is the "science guy" of cooking, and that is what I care about.
