I've never seen any ALPS that look like that before...  It has a rounded case unlike the standard ALPS "squared" casing and there are no notches on the edges of the switch...

That doesn't look like an Alps switch.  Omron maybe?

Edit: According to this (http://sandy55.fc2web.com/keyboard/chicony_kb-5181.html) page it's an SMK or "Monterey" switch.

Ah ok. I was kind of wondering why they didn't have the notches, I figured maybe it was some temporary design or something.

Either way, I'm pretty curious as to what the switch is actually like. Not curious enough to buy it though..heh :)

That may have been the kind of Chicony 'board that I once typed on years ago and found to be somewhere between BS and Cherry blues. Not a big fan of the small backspace though.
