Title: Anyone with the 2014 Razer Blackwidow?
Post by: barkinos98 on Sun, 18 May 2014, 15:05:28
Hey guys, I was looking into my options of a secondary keyboard just to mod, and I ended up with the QFR and the BW Tournament one, i want a TKL one this time (G710 is big as it is), but i was wondering if the Tournament's new switches are technically like the Cherry MX so i can change the stuff in it to clears and greens.
So yeah all im asking is is the "replica" MX-Compatible switches in the BlackWidow series still same mount as cherry without the cherry colors and logo?

If i'm not wrong they are plate mounted though so you need to desolder them to open up the switch or change them

Thanks guys for the replies.
So practically if i were to get bored with the switches, i can get authentic MX switches and solder them right on? Sounds good!
