Title: HELP! Keycool keyboard
Post by: cxbeo on Mon, 19 May 2014, 02:21:08
Hey all, I made an account to ask this, as I can't seem to find the answer elsewhere.

I received a keycool keyboard in the mail today, and it's backlit. I'm trying to figure out the keyboard shortcuts & if it's possible to turn the backlighting off, as it's annoying being on all the time & the instructions are all in Chinese. I can't find the function key, and there are four blank keys at the very end of the keyboard. I'm hoping some one here can help me out, or possibly link me to an english translation. Here's a pic of the keyboard, any help is highly appreciated!

Also I'm new here, so please don't be too harsh with me! Not even sure if this is the right place to be posting this! Thanks in advance!

Well I'm not sure on your model but on my Keycool 87II the FN key is in place of the right Windows key and the adjustment is done with the up and down arrows. Hope this helps

Welcome to Geekhack!

I think my non-backlit KeyCool 87's Fn key is right-Win too.

Starting from there, try these combinations:

Fn + F1 = Open "My computer"
Fn + F2 = Open default web browser
Fn + F3 = Open Calculator
Fn + F4 = Open default media player
Fn + F5 = Open last song
Fn + F6 = Open next song
Fn + F7 = Play/Pause
Fn + F8 = Stop
Fn + F9 = Mute
Fn + F10 = voice lower
Fn + F11 = voice louder
Fn + F12 = Lock Win
Fn + Up = Backlight brighter
Fn + Down = Backlight dimmer
