What switches does this use?

according to the chatter from this site, they are Alps key switches.

Not sure how reliable, but seems okay  ;D

yeah, and the doubleshots are really nice.

there have been a ton of these on eBay recently at really high prices, I was considering getting one.

Personally I think the legends were pretty poorly designed. The type sizes, alignment, symbols, etc. could all be much better done. The overall concept is okay I guess; just a poor implementation.

For actually typing on, the layout is pretty uninspiring too. (Points for putting the control key in the right place though, and fully spelling out words.)

I don't mind the layout, other than the Control key location would drive me mad(I'd program it to be Caps Lock), and I'd miss the Function keys.
