The time is upon me... I haven't cleaned my computer for months. Since I will open the case, take out stuff and clean them with compressed air, I'm thinking of cleaning my keyboard too.
Anything specific I should know about removing and cleaning the caps?
Do the larger keys (enter, shift, space) have anything underneath them apart from the switch, and thus I should be careful not to break anything?
Does a bath of normal water do the trick? The caps are plastic after all. Couple of droplets of milk here and there (yes, I eat in front of my pc lol) but mainly dust in between the keys. Also, I REALLY don't want the letters to be removed from the keys, I'm not in the place to type on blank keys yet :P

For the key caps: you should use alcohol 90% to clean. It's even better if you remove all the key caps out, soak them into warm water with detergent (Tide or Omo) for about 30 minutes, after that wash them clean and let them dry. Please make sure the key cap 100% dry before putting them back.
Edit: BTW, you should use search function or google search to find more information about this stuffs.

Great info, I appreciate it. I'll probably leave them to dry for a couple of days just to be sure...
Man honestly I used the Search function of the forum but it was irrelevant results. Google though I didn't think of, which sucks because a couple of years ago I used to search sites all the time...
Thanks again man :)
