Title: Cats vs Dogs
Post by: Novus on Thu, 22 May 2014, 02:46:55
So keyboard owners, which do you prefer?
How many keyboards have you guys/gals lost to cats or dogs?

Have you seen some of the posts here lately? No it's not.
Also how many keyboards did you lose?

Lol! Just noticed what it says... I swear it said which animal do I prefer. It's late and I am tired.
Luckily I haven't lost any but my dog did pee by my computer once, close call.
;p

Well, none so far. My cat used to sleep on my board sometimes, but that's about the extent of it. A bit of cleaning now and then by blowing on the board did the job. Also, it's sometimes nice to have pre-warmed keys  ;)

This is off topic, however I prefer cats.  Dogs are too chewy.

I prefer cats. Dogs might chew up spare keycaps lying around...
Only issue is, my cat see my cable for my headset as a toy....
She has killed snakes, lizards, bees, dragonflies, and a lizard who made himself at home, and was chilling like a villain, then she found him on the window sill...

This may sound harsh to dog people but, with cats you have to work for its affection.
Dogs are just like "footsteps? FRIENDS!!!!"

I love that gif lol

I once had a dog break an expensive airsoft rifle in twain whilst running wildly around the apartment for no reason which scared him into the fishtank which subsequently busted apart spilling many gallons of water and led to many tiny dead dried up tetras and snails under my stove for months to come.

Never had this problem with a kitty.

But the cat would have just scared the dog to start with.

Or visa versa, but with a similar result.

after having owned a dog, i could never downgrade to a cat.

plus cats have no loyalty.

2 weeks after i lost my dog, a cat out of blue followed me home, i opened the door and he just went in. it jumped on my wife and she said, wtf is that? i'm like a cat. i have no idea how to raise a cat, i bought a stupid cat toy, a litter box, litter, food bowls and canned cat food. i put the litter box and litter in the bathroom, took the cat, plopped it down, and it proceeded to drop a duce. i was damn, someone owns this cat. (obviously  no collar) i fed it, gave it water, and my wife was like, well go give it a bath. so i put on washing gloves for protection, and it just sat there, and took the bath like a champ. i wasn't sneezing either (i'm allergic to cats usually)

i had this cat for 2 days before i got a phonecall from the owner. (i put up pics to the animal shelter) drove to her house, gave her the cat, pretty sure the ***** didn't thank me, told me the parents visited and the cat just went out the door, oh and it was 15 years old.

15 years she had him, and he was already chillin' at my house like he owned the place!

again, cats have no loyalty.

I like cats too but as a dog owner I am a bit bias. Cats are cute but I don't want to own one.

Lazy internet folk tend to prefer cats because they require little to no work on the owner's part.

But man, it's a blast climbing mountains with my dog. Cats just sleuth around the house like they own the place, **** in sandboxes, and shed their nasty hair everywhere. Useless creatures.
