Title: Ducky Mini Question
Post by: roaming pear on Thu, 22 May 2014, 23:39:20
Hello... I have seen pictures of certain ducky mini boards that have been listed and they look really nice but I have only seen them for around 4 or 5 hundred dollars.. I'm assuming that these prices reflected the case and the key caps that they had but I'm not sure...

1.  I am not talking about the new ducky mini that is coming out.  I'm not sure if this has a number or not, but it does look pretty cool, minus the case...

2.  I am not talking about the one with the large enter button.  Is that the original ducky mini? That looks pretty nice too

3.  I am talking about the one that has the fn key next to the right shift... Everything else, minus the pn key, looks very similar to the poker 2..

I have also noticed it has a thick metal thing in the back of it in all the pictures I have seen of it...

I really like the layout.  It looks very symetrical since it has three buttons on each side of the space bar, but is it only available in those expensive prices?

1. ducky mini (ansi)

2. ducky mini (iso)

3. duck mini v2 (NOT duckY)

duck and ducky are NOT the same thing.

duck is an independent keyboard designer/machinist(?).  ducky is the company that makes shine 3s.

the duck mini v2 was a limited run product.  if you want one, you need to find someone in the classifieds selling theirs.  unlike traditional keyboards, the duck doesn't use 2 keyboard feet to prop it up; it has the single 'riser' bar instead (call it that and people will know what you mean).

i have no idea what a duck mini v1 is
