Title: Looking for a "girly" (but not pink) TKL for my daughter
Post by: fohat.digs on Fri, 23 May 2014, 07:17:44
The Classifieds is such a mountain of TL-DR that I cannot seem to wade or search through it.

Does anybody have a TKL for sale, preferably with browns, would consider reds, in a non-black case color?

And any white/blue/yellow/lavender/green whatever would be preferable to the obvious pink. She does not like pink, and I don't think that she would accept the clickyness of blues.

Thanks

You could buy a QFR and paint the case whichever color you want, then there's the White Shine 3, Yellow Shine 3. Those are the ones I can think about off the top of my head right now.

Thanks for the help. I really want to avoid painting cases if at all possible. The QFR unbranded silver case might be a good option.

The ideal would be something green or blue with some kind of pastel rainbow caps, but that may not be possible.

That exists...just don't know who owns it at the moment....

As always, the keys are easy if you have some cash.

I was going to suggest getting this along with the rainbow caps: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Blue-Silicon-case-Ducky-9008-series-mechanical-keyboard-/291049841439?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43c3ec231f

But it's not a TKL case. :(

That looks excellent. But the "English" button does not work, unless I am doing it wrong.

Can I get it with brown Cherries?

It is the link from keycool company, not link for vendor sale. It just shows the product. Can not buy direct from this link.

Can not buy direct from this link.

Then why is there a "Buy" button and an "English" button but neither of them work?

Just a rhetorical question, I don't expect you to answer.

Hrm, qtan used to sell pink PLU keyboards, I believe, but I don't see them on his online store now.

I'd ask him if he still sells those.  They do come in MX Brown variety.  Rainbow keycaps can be purchased from feng or qtan.

edit due to poor reading comprehension.

Or, you could break the mold and just get her a proper black or white keyboard. Why do girls have to have different colors?

You could go with a white Realforce or HHKB. Pretty pricey though. They don't make white Leopold or FIlcos any more?

Ducky Shine White Edition?

http://www.mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=836

It has backlighting and black keycaps, but maybe a set of replacement keycaps could be a birthday/Christmas present?

Didn't you read? No pink?

As for the Keycool awsome personality 'board. They like to show people things that they cannot have anymore. Many vendors do that...

I would recommend the White Keycool 87 and then replace with their Rainbow keycaps, if you can find them... :D

Yeah, I was looking through it briefly and missed the "not", especially after the "girly" part :)

That discontinued one would have been ideal, if not too pricey. Her 2 favorite colors are light/bright green and blue. Yellow is OK but she hates red. When she was little she loved pinks and purples, but as a teenager they are too cute to be cool anymore.

She doesn't care about keyboards, so I am not willing to expend too much time or money on it.

fyi this is feng's ebay. send him a PM and if he responds, he offers them cheaper to us directly then through the ebay store.

Great!

So now, who has a white keyboard with Cherry browns for sale cheap?

Full-size would be OK, and without caps would too, hoping that rainbow spacebar would fit.
