Title: Make Computer registering alternating Keystrokes
Post by: sil0r on Fri, 23 May 2014, 10:26:37
Hey guys,

as a passionate SC2 lover and perfectionist I always look for the best possible setup when gaming.
So I am using a revolutionary hotkey setup called TheCore. To use it to it's full potential it is mandatory to have a keyboard which translates two keys pressed at the same time as alternating letters. Here is an example to make it clear:
"O" and "P" pressed at the same time:
What i want: opopopopopopop
What i get: oppppppppppp

I'm using an QPad MK50 it has nKeyRO so it should be theoratically possible to satisfy my need for perfection, sadly it doesn't.
Do you think it could be a software or controller issue, or is it plain impossible to get alternating letters with my keyboard?

Help would be quite appreciated. Heaps of thanks in advance.

Greetings sil0r!

I believe the controller will tell the computer that 'o' has been pressed, then 'p' has been pressed (it's impossible for it to be at the *exact* same time).

Windows then sees that both keys are held down but because the 'p' was pressed slightly later it is the one that it repeats. Windows should know that both keys are held down so it should theoretically be possible, but most software/drivers aren't programmed that way.

You need USB and a board that exhibit this specific behavior.
