ive had my filco tenkeyless (brown cherries) for about a month now (from elitekeyboards.com) and it's really nice but i dont like how the keys are extremely light.
when im gaming i dont even realize im holding a key down because it's so light... is there a CHEAP way to make the keys "heavier" ?

About the best you could do is find a cheap Cherry black keyboard on eBay (the MX-11900 comes to mind) and switch out the springs (the black springs are much heavier). The only problem with this, however, is that you will have to do some soldering work on the Filco since the switches are plate-mounted. Conversely, you could use the MX-11900 for gaming and the Filco for typing.

Yeah, thats a tough one. I don't know about you but I had my filco's shipped from overseas. It was pricey but worth it. But now there is majestouch selling them locally.
I ordered a filco tenless with brown cherries last week, it came out to 126 shipped which is pretty good. Compared to what I paid crescent.....

The black cherries aren't very nice to type on though, if you want to switch then it might be worth waiting for the black fake alps ones, although I don't know how much easier you'd find them to use.
What about getting one of those gaming pads like the N52 or Cyborg Command Unit? That way you could have a nice keyboard for typing and something you could use for gaming.

I have an N52 and I dont like it. I always hear that black cherries arent nice to type on. What does it feel like? Heavier than regular membrane keyboards?

Not many of the people here are of that opinion, but tastes vary.
The black cherries require an increasing force when as you go down so they feel like you're compressing something. They're nothing at all like rubber dome keys with their collapsing behavior (and not like membrane-only keyboards which have very little feedback at all).

Currently typing this on a board with blacks, I'd say they actually aren't that bad a choice if you've got a somewhat heavier touch. I don't feel like I get the same typing precision as on the Model M (or blues, which I bottom out too heavily), but it's certainly not a bad feel... more precise-feeling than a G81 (as it bottoms out hard rather than softly), but also more noisy due to the hard stops at both ends of key travel.
Basically, any MX switch should be a better choice for gaming than blues (which in return should give the best debouncing characteristics, both due to the offset operating and reset points). If the blacks don't give a satisfying key action, maybe try clears (broader & higher tactile bump, and about 50% higher force for bottoming out (still more than blacks) when compared to browns).
