yes I am a lurker
but thought I had to share this here

that's an odd aspect ratio
I think it'd be great in vertical mode though.
-
It says ultra wide: General: Dimensions (without stand): 24"W x 11"H x 1.56"D
-
If the numbers are correct, it should have 111 PPI.
The height of the screen is about the same as a:
19.8" 16:9 screen or a
18.4" 16:10 screen, or a
16.2" 4:3 screen
-
Im really digging this new Ultrawide fad, the monitors look very slick.

IMO, they are only useful vertically.
Keep in mind that I still think 5:4 is the best and have used it for many years.

Two 16:10 screens mounted vertically side to side?
I would get an ultrawide screen only if it was high enough and slightly curved. Curved screens make sense for single-user desktop computer use, they don't make sense for TV or cell phones.
If a screen is too wide, the sides would be weird if the screen is not curved. If a wide screen is not large enough, it is just vertically challenged, which is pitiful.

From what I saw at Costco, these monitors are super short. I wouldn't be comfortable using this.
-
I always angle the outer panel towards myself anyway, resulting in an approximation of a curve.

not picking a fight but what does this mean, I am a surround plus 2 user, 5760x1080 with 2560x1024 above
also isnt this the closest you can get to a true cinema display?

As mentioned earlier, this monitor has 11" height. This is compared to around 15" height of a 23" monitor, which is why I think the monitor looks a bit squished.
I think a 27" 1440p monitor would be a better buy at around $300.
