Tenso is currenty doing a promotion with Rakuten(where PFU products are sold) for discounted international shipping (up to 2500 yen they say) on purchases of over 10,000 yen. Might be able to score a tyoe-s for a pretty reasonable price going that route. Hope this helps!

Thanks! Looks like I can get a Type-S and christmas pack for right around $300! That's a great deal.

Does anyone know how long their shipping normally takes?

The only thing that might cause a snag is you have register with them(if you haven't used them before) which involves sending some form of formal identification like a drivers license or state identification card. They usually approve it very quickly though, it's just a little inconvenient in this case because the promotion only lasts until the 13th. They have very friendly and fast English customer support if you do run into any problems though!
