I ran across this (http://www.twindata.com/affirmative/1226.htm) page this morning, which sells keyboards that are claimed to be "a virtually identical, direct replacement for the 122 keyboard supplied with IBM 347X and 348X", which lead me to wonder if they might be viable replacement cases for older 122 key Model F's? I seriously doubt those use capacitive Buckling Spring.

Probably just Unicomp Model M

Also, the case wouldn't replace an F-122 case, but rather an M-122 case. The top bezel stops just after the 24 F-keys.

The original, first-generation (only) M-122s have upper case shells that are compatible with the F-122, if you clip out about 4 squares of plastic about 5mm each where the side rails of the bottom pan intersect. Those are the ones with the large 2-stage legs.
I believe it was wcass who posted a guide on making later M-122 cases work, with roughly triple the amount of cutting.
M-122 top shells are much more desirable because they are the improved and tougher Model M plastic compound, instead of the brittle F plastic, which can also be "skinned" exposing a different layer underneath.

Ah well... :(

Would suggest to spend the $20 on a new M-122 cover set from Unicomp, and attempt to follow wcass's guide on converting.

I'm actually not in dire need of a new F-122 case, but if it were a simple case swap, what the hell?
