Is there a HHKB like case for an MX based keyboard with a 60% size PCB? I think it may be very cool to have a programmable clone of a HHKB with MX switches using for example the Face W, or Face U, or the GH60 with HHKB layout with a nice simple and elegant HHKB like case.
The question may be addressed before, just please link the reference if you already know about it.

Only boards I can think of besides the Duck Viper is the KMAC Happy (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=51562.0). I think JD has a Phantom with that layout too but its a TKL.

Do you know if the case is available as an stand alone product?

Dunno, check here (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=58074.0) and ask.

The thread linked is awesome. Again, it is always possible to cover the empty corners of a regular 60% case with something, but it does not look as cool as the HHKB does.

SPRiT has an acrylic case that fits HHKB layout in his group buy. You can also get a PCB from there :). http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=50580.0

Every mention of this board gets me so damn excited. This group buy can't come quickly enough!

I have linked the IC by Elton on a Viper kit. I think an aluminum case is the better looking alternative for those of us that may like to have a HHKB like MX board. I may be interested only in the case, to use with Face U or W and Sprit's plates with support for the HHKB layouts.

You could also grab an Apple M0110 and mod it (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=44673.0). If you want something on the cheap.

Interesting option, thank you for the reference.
