Title: new member- from down under
Post by: gtforce on Sat, 14 June 2014, 09:10:21
Hey guys, hope everyone is well,
Just got my ducky shine 3 yellow edition (blank caps) mx cherry red. Yes yes I know some people think its super ugly- but i only paid $80 AUD brand new.
Keen to mod it asap, have done fair bit of electrical soldering and recently built a nice nixie clock. Back to keyboard mods, thinking of getting mx cherry clears
and changing the led colours later on down the track.
If anyone has any ideas for a nice mod for this keyboard chuck us a comment.
Cheers.

Haha, yeh seller on ebay was selling red switch yellow edition full sized not TKL blank PBT keycaps for $150, i offered him 80  on ebay thinking it was a long shot, but
was totally over the moon when I got the notification that he accepted it.

Got a discount on a set of Max Keyboard smoked black abs keycaps so thought give it a shot why not.

Prefer the stock yellow  PBT  keycaps over the Max ABS ones, but the ABS caps would look neat on another less premium keyboard.

MX reds are very lite, which I like but you notice the difference between good  PBT  keycap and these aftermarket ABS keycaps.

Next step is to hunt down some nice  PBT  keycaps to test out.
