there was a bunch of stuff I was excited for but didn't happen
GIFF LADY STONEHEART
well i mean
book 4 and the first half of book 5 happen at the same time
Eh, I thought they would've done more with the season finally. And the show is starting to get really far from the book, so sometimes things legitimately surprise me :))
This last season was like books 3 + 4 + 5 all mixed togeather with some things switch around and left out
I just bought a copy of the first book tonight on eBay and am anxious for it to arrive. :thumb:
3rd and 4th books are the best ones
especially Arya's storyline in books 4 and 5
**** goes down and it's great

I read first book. I realized George RR Martin is writing about a fictionalized medieval New Jersey. The Lannisters are the Rockefellers, and the Tyrell's are the Du Pont's. George RR Martin is of course Tyrion. I think he's also put a lot of himself into Arya too.
You bought a… physical copy? from eBay?
Weirdo.

Arya? Please explain.
A fan? Sacrilegious...
The fan communities are raging about the lack of LS but I'm cool with it after getting over a bit of disappointment. Season 4 overall was probably the best since the 1st, but not as great as I was hoping for. I disliked the change in the Jaime/Tyrion scene immediately prior to crossbowing Tywin. I feel like he didn't have the same sense of rage and detachment flowing through at that moment which in the book provided the immediate motivation for doing what he did. It plays a lot differently as a result.
tp, no offense but you are the kind of fan that makes the Ice and Fire nerds rage. The show often feels unnecessarily simplified and dumbed down, presumably so it can be followed by the super casual watchers.
