Title: Selective quoting
Post by: intelli78 on Mon, 16 June 2014, 14:29:32
On some forums I have seen a 'quote post' option where you can select the text you want to quote, on the page you are reading, and have it inserted into your reply. This would be a very nice addition to GH, and it would hopefully help cut down on massive, unnecessary quote trees.

You can just hit the quote button then delete what you dont want quoted. I do this frequently in the Simple Questions thread. However its much simpler to do on a computer versus a cell phone.

Obviously, and I do that all the time. But many folks do not.  ;) Plus, it really is easier w/ this feature.

Yeah you're right that it's much easier with your suggestion. Just thought I'd point it out in case people didn't realize.
