Under the "messages" tab, or anyway I can access my messages, the "sent messages" folder is empty. Im trying to read through my sent messages but for some reason its not showing any.
Any help?

You have to check the box to -save to sent messages folder- when you send a message.
-
Profile -> modify profile -> personal messaging -> check ''save a copy of each personal message...''
-
Shouldn't that be checked by default?

I wish all forums had it enabled by default, but on here it isn't.

not on GH
I save all my PMs, too, so I was confused when I realized I had no sent messages

+1
Thanks for that. That menu is good at hiding.

thanks everyone, Ive never been on a forum that didn't save a copy of sent messages, so I thought it was a bug or something

Weirdness.
I have never EVER gone in and checked that box, yet upon seeing this thread, I investigated... it was checked for me, by default.
Possibly due to the age of my account? Since it was originally an account created in vBulliten, and then transferred to SMF, perhaps?
Can't think of any other explanation...

I could see that being why. Most of the forums Im on are ran on vBulletin and they ALL save sent messages by default

I think I read somewhere that it might be checked by default, but if you happen to uncheck it when sending a PM to someone, it stays unchecked for all subsequent PMs.
