Not everyone likes Massdrop but this is an awesome price for some great headphones.  Usually need an amp but a cheap amp works out fine in my experience.  AKG is probably clearing out stock and discontinuing the headphones, but for $150, why not?

These headphones were $400 MSRP at launch and have come down over the years. I purchased a pair a year+ ago and have really liked them a lot and use them almost every day. I do use them with a small FIIO amp and the sound is great. I got my set for I think $190 and thought that was a good deal.

Though at launch I have read they were made in Austria, now they are made in China.

Any thoughts on buy Q701 at $150 or just save for the Sennheiser HD 650 at around $400-500? :-)
