What are the chances of something like that coming out (perhaps even as a special edition)?
I might consider buying one if it gets released.
I have gotten used to a 55g keyboard, I doubt I can step back to a 45g keyboard it might feel too light.
A HHKB costs over $200 I don't want to try it and not like it.

The chances are slim, but I see you have a 55g realforce...

I have gotten used to typing on a 55g keyboard. I am not sure if I can step back down to 45g, won't that feel a bit light? For over $200 for a HHKB I am not sure if I want to try it and not like it.
I got my HHKB after typing on a 55g RF for 2 years. Once I got it, I couldn't stand it. It only took me a week to transplant all of the 55g domes into my Type-S. The HHKB is a wonderful keyboard, but the fact that it's not 55g hurts. Unfortunately, I don't think PFU has much interest in releasing a 55g HHKB.

AFAIK, rubber dome transplant is the only way to get one of these. Maybe you could find a buyer for a mixed 55g / 45g Realforce once you've switched over the domes you need.

If you don't like it, you can always resell it for pretty much what you paid for it.
Experience gained, maybe $10 or so lost (depending on postage etc.).

It will feel very light. The HHKB feels substantially lighter than my 45g FC660C so I would imagine it would be a huge difference from a 55g.
