I got some new fun in the mail today!!

I ordered some new PBT keycaps from GeekKeys back on Friday and I received the goodies today.

So I immediately had to put them on and get a feel for them and see how they look on my QFR.

Below are some glamour shots and I'm wondering which layout would be the best looking with these caps and the original keys.

Let me what you all think and "vote" for your favorite layout.

you can flatten your spacebar with a hairdryer and some heavy books

Good to know about the hair dryer thing tho..

My banggood PBT spacebar is as straight as an arrow using this method. It arrived warped enough to be unusable similar to yours.

Congrats on the new keys though! PBT master race  :cool:

Buy some plywood and stack some stuff on it then'

as long as the weight is straight down you'll be fine

I think the wife has some knitting books around here somewhere.. or I could stack keyboard boxes on it? :o

I'd say about 20lbs (9Kg) is ideal. Work off that.

Totally have the spacebar spitting under some books right now.

I tried a couple of heating methods, heating the spacebar under the books (which didn't work all that well), and heating it in my hand then placing the books on top (it just hurt my hands from the heat).

Seems like it should work out.

Thanks guys, and I think the all white will be best.

In the summer time you park your car out in the sun and leave the space-bar sitting on the back shelf of the vehicle where it will face the full heat of the sun.  Roll up all your windows and leave everything to nature in re-forming your originally bent space-bar.

The trick is to then take the space-bar in your hands after a few hours (whilst wearing heat gloves) and you can re-bend the item to what ever you like.  Have re-formed personally 4 PBT space-bars when it was 54C+ out here in the desert.

Don't put anything TOO heavy on it!

Someone shattered a space bar with a pile of huge books once :eek:
