I'm so sorry Bunny!  Really hope he finds his way back to you soon, I've experienced that too with my first dog and know how heartwrenching it is.

Oh noes :(

I've had this happen to me several times. My first cat was gone for 3 days while being an indoor one - I was broken, but I got so happy when she returned.

Another time one of my new cats jumped out the window from the third floor in the middle of the night.
My family and I was out looking for her till past midnight - But my mother found her the next morning under a car with just a scratch on her jaw.

I hope he returns.

I have formed a crack squad of GHers whose mission is to fight back against the hostage takers at USPS/mail carriers and liberate our "missing" or "held" keyboard items. I can loan them to you to look for your kitty.

But seriously, I hope you get him back soon.

Yeah, that's the good thing about cats - they're very independent.

A lost cat would be more likely to return home than a lost dog.

That's a Cat.

Cats do not have owners. Cats have human servants responsible for feeding them.

Bunnylake's cat will come back as and when it deigns to. And of course, Bunnylake is expected to feed it whatever it likes, or it will teach the human a lesson by scratching up the sofa.

Check under the neighborhood porches.  That's where we found ours.  He might be scared and hiding for his life.

It'll come back when it feels like. Why worry? Cats very rarely die or get killed. They know how to take care of themselves, and they know how to sucker other human slaves into feeding them. Having had 'pet' cats myself in the past I am fully aware that few cats are ever real pets. You, the human, are the slave.

My sister had a cat that went missing for a week or two, everyone thought it got pinched or hit by a car.  He then turned up on her doorstep hungry and wanting some attention.  All cats like to explore their area in detail to see what's on offer.

Don't forget they're natural born hunters and sometimes stalking a victim, can take days or weeks and that's the fun they all live for.  Be patient because your moggy will return  :thumb: .

That is great news, hope he just needs a meal and some hugs to get him back together, maybe gentle food until he settles a bit.

My boy was away for a while once, and came back missing a sock. Evidently he had spent a while in a snare until he escaped. Gives me nightmares sometimes to think what he went through, but he was ok after.

Horrible feeling to have to endure a missing family member. So glad you have found him, and I hope he is feeling a bit better.

baldgye - http://www.tractive.com/en/ looks ace, I was not aware products like this are available. Definitely worth considering if your pet likes to explore; not much of a deterrent to thieves still though unfortunately.
