I'm trying to get the stab on my f-122 to work, but its not. M-122 and F-122 spacebar doesn't function correctly on the F.
The problem I think is the wire goes into the tab, but when I press down, it doesn't go further into the tab, resulting in the wire bending instead of turning and more force required to push down the spacebar. Pulling the tabs up didn't do anything.
Is there any way of fixing this? Would removing the tops of the tabs work or some other method?

ended up just jerry rigging a new stab out of twist ties. It works well enough

If you are trying to use a Model M spacebar, the bar size is the same but the wire is much fatter.
I have made new tabs out of bent sheet metal, epoxied down, and used the M spacebar. I removed the original tabs because they ended up in the way.
Wcass has a much more elegant method where sleeves fit into the M spacebar wire holders but an F-thickness wire goes into the tabs.

That may be the reason. Seller sold me the F-122 condition as seller refurbed, and it looks like it has M-122 keys instead of F-122 keys.
I have one of wcass's spacebar wires, is that way better than making my own tab?
edit: wcass spacebar is most amazing thing ever

just about. I had an early version that had some fitment issues, but after he got it worked out, it's amazing!
