Title: Any Mount & Blade Fans?
Post by: Air tree on Tue, 24 June 2014, 18:49:47
Just wondering if there is any M&B fans on this forum, I got the game a few sales ago and have probably sunk in a good 80 hours already thanks to mods and the variety. The community on the games forum is great and some of the mods are just pure brilliance. I'm about to go and try out the  Warsword Conquest mod quite soon. (Based on the Warhammer games) And thus far I have tried "1257 AD" "A Clash Of kings" "Prophesy Of Pendor" "Gekokujo" All of these are M&B Warband mods of course. Haven't tried any classic M&B mods yet though.

So if you play any of the games in the series, do you prefer vanilla or do you like the mods? And if so what are the mods that you like?

Nothing like cleaving people with a giant two handed sword, eh?

I was averse at first.. but the whole thing about _no guns_  grew on me after I played it more..

Though... idk.. it's hard to get away from the insta-gratification GUN formula of click, he dies, you win.. !

M&B With Fire And Sword has guns in it, Though guns doesn't real add much. Takes away more than anything.

I tried playing them, I like the idea of waffling about at my own pace and stuff, but the gameplay just wasn't very intuitive or enjoyable. Maybe because I'm too used to the simpler and streamlined gameplay of most modern games.

I love Mount and Blade. I haven't played it in a few years though I really should start playing it again. I mostly play with mods that change the Vanilla game like Floris mainly because I can't run those HUGE mods like A Clash of Kings for some reason.
