Title: Question on cherry stabilizers
Post by: CrimsonVertigo on Thu, 26 June 2014, 10:49:12
Just wondering why manufacturers do not use the same switches for the cherry stabilizers? Instead of always using mx blacks?

Wouldn't this sort of eliminate the mushiness?

The stems of Cherry stabilisers aren't switch stems. Cherry doesn't make different colours of stabilisers. They're all the same.

Also, do the clip mod (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6hPoe3srcw) and lubricate them.. They won't be mushy anymore.

it really wouldn't be tooo hard to cut the bottom of the costar inserts, and glue them onto the plate..

then you can use costar stab as long as you have a universal space-bar(http://emoticoner.com/files/emoticons/onion-head/embarrassed1-onion-head-emoticon.gif?1292862502)

The clip mod will sort them out. May as well lube them while you're at it. :)

I prefer Cherry to Costar style stabs, for a number of reasons. They're easier to change keycaps on, don't break so easily, don't rattle and feel great.
