Title: Questions about the keyboard company website
Post by: EternalQ on Fri, 27 June 2014, 15:10:22
Hi,

I'm new to this forum. I am in UK now and I want a US layout keyboard then I found the keyboard company(http://www.keyboardco.com) who sales US layout keyboards in UK. But their website is too simple which makes me a little bit doubtful.

So, is there anyone has experience with them? Are the keyboards they sell in good quality?

Or, is there any other website you know which sells US layout keyboards in UK?

Thank you very much. :D

Ordered a keyboard from them yesterday, and it arrived today. No complaints here :)

Yes they're legitimate, and a decent bunch. They're the people responsible for getting Filco keyboards introduced in Europe in the first place — this was at the beginning of 2010, only a few months after I decided that I needed a proper keyboard. (Too bad Costar themselves didn't know what they were doing; apparently the Majestouch 2 is far better made than the original ; )

I do wish that their Unicomp keyboards used a more elegant LED cover than the one with Unicomp's hideous logo on (it's a build-to-order option).

Their website does leave a lot to be desired though : )

I've ordered from them several times and I would definitely recommend them.

However I understand your doubts, their website looks sketchy and outdated.

I've been recommending them to people (mostly in the UK) for a while - not heard anything bad about them yet.

The owner is really nice and helpful in replying all sort of questions regarding keyboards. I've bought my Matias Quiet Pro Mini there. It's alright.

They are one of the best keyboards companies out there.

Ordered several items from them on Tuesday (Filco doubleshot keycaps, a G84 mini keyboard and a few other accessories), and received my order on Friday morning.

I have made numerous orders at this company and they have always provided perfect and fast service.

I highly recommend them.

One of the best manufacturers in the UK for a lot of hard to get keyboards, e.g. Keyboards that need importing.

They normally get their boards to you within 1-2 days, would definitely advise.

Good company.  Ignore their circa 1998 website.  It seems every other keyboard company or keyboard sales website has a website that looks like a leftover from the Nineties (Maltron, Kinesis, Unicomp, etc)

As you probably know by now, they are legit. ^^

In case you need any service, or have any questions they are very good people.

They also have their own subforum on Geekhack! (http://geekhack.org/index.php?board=54.0)

Hey, Unicomps site is at least from 2002 now.

Well, after modern crapsites with all unnecessary Flash and Java elements... It just works :)
