Title: KTOD - Getting back in the swing of things
Post by: CPTBadAss on Wed, 02 July 2014, 09:22:52
I just came back from vacation. When I'm away, I don't bring any boards and I will log onto Geekhack to answer PMs/Simple Questions. Other than that, I'm not that active.

When I return, it always takes me a little while to get back into everything. I'll reevaluate the projects I was working on and try and tie up anything that got delayed because of my trip. And rediscover my love of how all my mech boards feel :).

How do you like to get back into mechanical keyboards after a break?

I bring my GON with me where ever I go and always stressin' about customer boards I need to build. So I never really stop thinking about keyboards... :\

Also welcome back <3

I've been using trips as motivation to get urgent projects done so I don't need to stress while I'm away. It's a nice tool but it allows me to procrastinate :(.

Prior to getting rid of it, my Pure went with me everywhere. Now that it's gone, my HHKB goes everywhere with me. I'm rarely away from my laptop due to work/school, so it's nice to not have to type on scissor switches (while the keyboard on my laptop is a little bit better than some others I've typed on, I still feel like I'm going to punch through my laptop to the desk just because I'm used to typing with actual key travel.
