How are these any different than other tkl like the qfr? Is it the quality?

Yes. Big time! Plus they have added features like 8 different DIP switches that do different things. Also, the cord channels can accommodate fabric usb cables because they have a 45 degree angle instead of the normal 90 degree. A lot of thought went into creating these TKL's. They also come with keycaps for when DIP switch settings swap places. Another interesting idea is that they give you the option to brand the keyboard if you like, they don't automatically plaster their name and/or logos all over like some companies out there...

The KUL also has a dual layered PCB like Ducky/Filco; QFR and WASD V2 are single layered only.
Keyed Up Labs is also confident enough in their product to offer a 2 year warranty where as almost all other brands only offer 1 year.
The only thing I would like to see improved is to move the USB connector further down so when you route the cable left or right it isn't so tight. As a consumer it makes me very nervous to have a cable twisted so tight one way. To be fair though - all the brands do this.
I had a KUL ES-87 MX Red for about a day and while I loved it - I only bought it because MX Blacks weren't available. Since then the Mrs has given me permission to pick up a MX Black KUL once I've sold my MX Red one.

Too bad about the premier, though...

Typing this on a Brown switch, one word, Awesome.
Josh, any word on when you'll get the cases they're coming out with, or about plans for a full TK keyboard?

Hoping for ES-104 :)
104 would be great. No word on it yet.
Get a number pad.. you can even put it to the left side of your TKL so your mouse is still in a better position, or just push it back until you actually want it :p
