Title: Compaq MX-11800 question
Post by: Special K on Thu, 21 May 2009, 13:06:50
How old are these keyboards, on average?  What computer did they come with?

I'm just curious.

They were for rackmount servers, and were installed in a pullout keyboard drawer with a flip-open monitor.

But I don't know if they were sold separately or as a bundle with the drawer, or with each server, or whatever.

Something like this:

I think they were from the mid-late 90s, and maybe even the early 2000s. They were sold for quite awhile.  They are still a valid Cherry variant as is the MX-11900 (with a trackpad instead of a trackball).
