Title: Good bluetooth scissor switches: Microsoft Wedge, Logitech K810, Perixx K805L
Post by: Lammie on Tue, 08 July 2014, 09:30:35
Anybody has experience or own one of the following 'good' Bluetooth scissor switches:

Microsoft Wedge,
Logitech K810
Perixx Periboard K805L

I find the MS Wedge really an excellent performer. A GH'er commented here before, that the MS kb's also use IBM keyspacing. Exactly that is what I like about the MS Wedge. Besides the quality, sturdiness and feedback from the Wedge was a great suprise! I find it even better than the Lenovo Thinkpads.

Now, the Logitech K810 uses what they call Easy switch keyboards. Wonder what they're like.

Over the past couple years, Microsoft and Logitech have really improved the feel of their scissor switch technology.  The only thing I would consider buying is a bluetooth keyboard for portability, but overall, some of them are actually enjoyable to type on.

I haven't used any of the above, but I do use an Apple aluminum Bluetooth keyboard at times. It feels quite good.. I tend to describe it as snappy. Good keyboard for typing nearly silently on with a nice tactile feel. They've been making them a while though and I don't think they've been all made equally, so some might be better or worse than others.

How about the Lenovo one based on the Thinkpad keyboard, which IMHO is pretty nice (ignoring the new vs old flame war)

Plus is has a trackpoint (if your into that sort of thing)

My current Bluetooth scissor is the discontinued DeNovo Edge. The Edge has a bit more travel than the Thinkpad style keyboard.
