Title: Odd behavior
Post by: Blackehart on Fri, 11 July 2014, 15:04:39
So some weirdness has been happening recently with my lz skin and kmac.

The right Windows and right ctrl key stop working as intended.
The windows key turns into menu and the ctrl key doesnt do anything.

Any reason why this happens or how i can fix it?

oO I dont see an obvious dip switch...unless you mean a key combo...

If you are using a keyboard tray, make sure it is not at an angle or position where an errant key can be pressed unknowingly, such as the escape key.

Have the escape key always/intermittently pressed will make your pull your hair out if you don't know it is being held down

Could it be a software issue on your computer? Maybe an AHK script got modified?

No tray : /

Hmmmm...I switched keyboards and the issue persists...so I think I may be pressing some random  combo while gaming that changes the config...I think.

*scratches head*

Hmmm...Maybe, but I wouldn't know what software would cause it.
AHK script? No clue what that is. EDIT: Ah, Auto Hotkey, nope, dont use it.

Well, since you switched keyboards and you're still having the problem, it would seem to be a software issue of some sort. Either way, you've isolated the problem to your computer.

bah, was hoping it was keyboard related...needle in a haystack time.

Well...maybe. The next step I'd take is to think about what's changed recently. Settings, any new programs installed, etc., right before the problem happened. That should narrow it down quite a bit and put you on the right track. Also, focus on software that has keyboard settings of some sort.

Well, sorta fixed it.

For the LZ skin, I unplugged it and did the reset to defaults bit (hold down the esc for 5 secs).
Just seems odd that it would load another setting without even loading the software. oO
