It's alcoholic with awesomeness (I don't drink). But, seeing as you can find green tea noodles and green tea icecream, I'm sure you can find some alcoholic form of it.

Actually I only drink dark microbrewed ales (try Dead Guy Ale or Deschutes Black Porter)

Nice, I'll have to try that - I usually steer clear of dark beers (usually porters)  like the plague, but I'll have to give it another go

also congratulations of those staying clean! I'm 25, so I have about 5 more years of pickling my liver before I deem it unnecessary (although I haven't gotten "tore up" in years)

Green tea mixed with Shouchuu (kind of like vodka, but weaker), is a common drink in Japan.

That's what I thought when I saw the bottle, laughing to myself as I shelled out $35 for a unique souvenir, but it turned out to be top-shelf Brandy; really good stuff. The "Shrine to Spirits" puts it in it's top 5 http://www.physics.uq.edu.au/people/nieminen/spirits.html

Quote: "A 'well-known liquor,' this is a Kanggye specialty from the D.P.R.K. (aka North Korea). Shoddy packaging, with a bottle full of defects (at least no holes beyond the necessary one) and a cap that guarantees it will leak in your luggage, hides a truly impressive liquor. A very attractive aroma, with a flavour to match, and a very nice lingering aftertaste. This is stunningly good. As an added bonus, if you drink it, you get to live for a hundred years (thus the name, which means "hundred-years liquor"). 40% alcohol.
Rating: ***** "

The description sounds like it would grow hair on your chest.
Probably the grossest thing I tried last night, had a nice cold heffe and decided to pair it with some mozzarella cheese. I'm not sure if the curdling happened in my mouth or my throat, but it was disgusting.

Guinness.

My girlfriend and I went on a wine tour of the Texas Hill Country.  We were drunk for five days straight.  Ugh.  That's why you didn't see me post for those five days.  The wine was great, though.

Guinnes is truly awesome.  Of course, here in Ireland, it's not “cool” to say it's your drink of choice, because it's just so mainstream — everyone drinks it.  All the drink connoisseurs moan about it and say that it's bland and lacks flavour and all this but... i think it's wonderful.  And this is coming from someone who does like stronger beers with a more distinctive flavour (like the Chimay Bleu i posted on the previous page)
