Title: Looking for topre in japan

Hello everybody i'm new here and i need your help,
it's been few years now since i want a topre keyboard. My girlfriend is going to japan next month i would like to know if you think topre will be cheaper over there,( i'm from europe france ) and do you know place where she can find it ? or even japan website where we can buy it her grand father live there so we can send it over there thx for your help

The ones from Japan that I've seen on ebay are more expensive than imported ones, although that's not definitive proof. A bigger problem for you may be the layout, however. The Japanese layout is a breed of its own, and you may have trouble finding ANSI or ISO layout models there.

No help here, but I'm possibly headed to Japan in the fall and didn't even think to try and snag a Topre. Thanks for the idea!

You can buy normal ANSI keyboards over there... and the prices on eBay shipped here are ridiculous.

OP: check Amazon.jp and have it shipped? IIRC there are a few places in Akihabara that sell keyboards.

smartimports are based in Japan and they offer some pretty good prices, might be wise to start there and what not.

+1 for smartimports.
I got my HHKB from there (I'm from France too).

But it's only if you don't mind the ANSI layout.
