Title: Sweet Jesus PBT keycaps are amazing

I recently got my first board with PBT keycaps and these things are a dream, I'm not sure how I lived without these before. Loving this board so much!

What board / caps did you get? I've come to find out that PBT caps have different textures depending on the manufacturer. For example, Leopold caps are a lot more textured than Ducky caps.

you should try the original cherry dyesub/pbt keycaps... ;)

BSP is the only PBT I like

They make awesome PBT keycaps

they don't make 1.25x mods or 6.25x spacebars though

that's why i need to wait and buy a Kustom

nope

they only make ANSI sets AFAIK

I'm hesitant to recommend doing any business with Originative but I don't know of any other place to get that set.

After a while I realized..  the surface doesn't even matter..   what it looks like, double, single, dye

The important part is how smooth the stem is...

For me, the switch from ABS to PBT was just as big as switching from membrane to mechanical

imsto is still doing preorder for BSP (http://imsto.cn/index.php?route=product/product&path=62&product_id=90) also. Maybe a better option if you don't mind waiting a little.

It's important to note here that they also don't make F&J keys with scoops.

I'ma try cherry PBT someday.

I just realized: it's entirely possible someone brought BSP to keycon and I forgot to ask / try it.

Please clarify what you mean. I have seen you say something similar in other threads, but I don't understand. The stem of the keycap is only in contact with the slider of the switch as far as I can make out, so how does it affect the feel?

For me, if the keycap is heavy enough and well made, it doesn't matter so much the material, although I do like POM the most.

Ah yes, the simple joy of discovering PBT keycaps.  It is a magical moment in one's life.  Wait until you try POM.  My advice is to try POM with bare feet.  So as to avoid having your socks blown off.

It's more difficult to type with your toes while your socks are on anyway :p

Yup. Generally speaking, black Cherry keyboards that don't have doubleshots, and black Noppoo Choc Mini (and maybe some other PLUM keyboards).

I just got my Poker II today, can't believe what I was missing before using only ABS keycaps ;D.
