Title: Teletype keyboards
Post by: nubbinator on Thu, 17 July 2014, 20:24:12
These are cool and unusual specimens.  Overall, not too pricey for how uncommon they seem to be.  There's a pair of them in this deskthority thread (http://deskthority.net/photos-videos-f64/teletype-40k-104-dab-t6594.html) and they should use, as HaaTa calls them, Teletype Capacitive Magnetic Rocker Switches, which he describes as "Clicky, Capacitive, Magnets, Spring-loaded mounting mechanism, Spring loaded case pieces, and something I've never seen before. A double clicker."

I don't have the know how for converting them and feel bad having keyboards I can't use, so hopefully someone gets some joy out of them.

yeah I saw those.

#2 has been on eBay for some time. The seller wasn't wantign to accept my low bids on it.

In theory #2 would be easy to convert to computer. #1 likely difficult.
