Looking for recommendations on good MX Red/Black keyboards with blue backlighting.
On a side note: Any thoughts on the Ryos MK? If I were to get no replies to this, it's the one I'm going to get.

Ducky Shine 3!!!

Ducky Shine 3!!!
I assume there's some kind of elitist reason for the "Ducky master race" thing going on, but I'm a simple membrane peasant and for me, I'd rather pay the same price and get the Ryos which has a ton more features.

Just a few questions:
budget?
Size? Full sized, TKL or 60%?
Generally the people here stay away from "gaming" keyboards cause any mechanical keyboard would work the same way for games. Just that gaming keyboards have those extra macro keys and whatnot. And gaming keyboards take up alot of space on the desk also. Nothing against the Ryos MK, just that if you're here on this forum, take a look at what is considered "high end" and you can see what this community generally prefers.
If you insist on a gaming keyboard still, I apologise as I don't really have much input on the Ryos MK. Did a quick search online, it doesnt really show what switches the Ryos MK comes with, but the Ryos MK PRO comes in the standard 4 flavours so if you wanted black, there you have it.
I'd say that black has a nice smooth and linear feel to it and the springiness to it is not too light and it makes it feel somewhat luxurious. That said, I'm typing on reds right now and my only source for saying that about black switches is my switch tester beside me

hm.... i'd think the community here goes for build quality + aesthetics over other stuff like extra features. And that said, ducky keyboards are really well constructed. :)

Budget is $140 and I'm looking for a full size. Only non full size that interested me was the QuickFire TK because it had full functionality and with a numpad shape and I use numpad a lot.

I have to agree. I've been using blacks on mine for a few months now and they've been great to type on, which I was skeptical about since they were a lot heavier than what most people seem to "recommend."

+1 for Ducky. You can get a Shine Zero with a lighter blue coloured backlighting and less lighting modes, or the full Shine 3 with deeper blue backlighting and lots more lighting modes.

So is the main advantage to ducky the build quality? If so, what exactly does that entail? Are they just going to last longer? Or do they feel considerably better than other boards?

Timeless minimal design and metal plate. Also no issues with the keycaps fading so far as I can tell.

Anything cheaper? The Ducky's are a bit on the expensive side.

I have two Ducky Shine version 1 keyboards. One has had fairly heavy daily use at work for more than a year. It has not missed a beat. No legend fading, all LEDs still work. There is a bit of chine on the space bar, and maybe a few of the other keys, but the switches still click (apart from X, which was a bit shaky to start with).
The other one I have at home has had much less use, and is in even better shape than the first one.
I have probably heard of fewer problems with Ducky keyboards than most other brands (with the exception of RealForce - don't think I've heard of any problems with those ever).
So to a certain extend yes, a higher price does get you a higher quality keyboard.
